This flaw allowed malicious actors to exploit the AI-powered GitHub Copilot to exfiltrate highly sensitive `GITHUB_TOKEN` credentials. The vulnerability stemmed from an intricate interplay between Codespaces' environment, Copilot's code generation capabilities, and the way GitHub issues are processed, enabling an attacker to inject hidden directives into a repository's issue tracker.
